Installation directory structure

The Kronodoc server software should be installed as the Kronodoc user. Multiple Kronodoc installation on the same server can be setup, but each must be setup in a separate directory. The location of the Kronodoc server is not fixed, but a standard directory naming convention for the installation and installer files is as follows:

Directory

Description

kd40/

The directory where the Kronodoc production server will be installed.

kd40/inst/

The Kronodoc production server installer directory, where the Kronodoc installation archive is unpacked and from where the installer is run.

kd40/inst/already_installed

A directory, where patch and AddOn archives should be moved after they have been installed.

kd40test/

Same as kd40/, but for a test installation.

kd40test/inst/

Same as kd40/test/, but for a test installation.
